Marion-Polk Food Share depends on the community for more than 50% of the food distributed to people in need across Marion and Polk counties. Much of that food comes from groups and organizations of all sizes that organize food drives. Food drives generate over one million pounds of food each year.

Both Food and Fund Drives Matter

It is a good idea to incorporate both fund and food collection goals into your drive. This allows participants to choose the easiest way for them to contribute to this event.

Food drives – Food drives provide some of the healthiest and highest-quality food Marion-Polk Food Share receives—especially if the drives focus on our 10 Most Wanted Foods. Click here to see a list of available food drive supplies.

Fund drives – Cash donations keep Food Share freezers running and trucks on the road. They also support plans for innovative programs that address the root causes of hunger through advocacy and public education. The easiest way to contribute is through our online donation page.
